CTIA announced in October 2019 the release of the (WISE) Technician Certification Program. The program was designed to educate and test wireless device repair technicians on industry-recognized standards, certifying those that meet the highest of standards for service quality and technical skills. Technology Is Not Stagnant and Neither Should the Training and Certification Process
It was important for Idaho iRepair to be a part of a certification program that grew as technology progressed and that is what we have with the WISE Technician and WISE Retail Certification. Technicians will be required to renew their certifications annually to ensure they are staying current with the advancements of mobile technologies. The training provides a thorough understanding of smartphone repair, including diagnostics, tools, parts, proper procedures in the assembly and disassembly, and how to handle lithium-ion batteries used to power these devices. To become certified the technicians must then complete and pass a comprehensive exam, which we are pleased to announce all of the Idaho iRepair technicians passed the exam when completed.
